What a Difference a Day Makes!

I woke up in Lancaster, departed from DC, transited through Moscow, landed in Athens, and spent the evening on a cove an hour south of the capital city. A day’s worth of emotions, in a nutshell…

– Thankfulness: To my parents for their never-ending love, support, and generosity. (Don’t worry, Mom! All is well!)

– Anxiety: Pleeeease let me make my connection through Moscow.

– Exhaustion: 14 hours on planes, soo many rowdy children, and serious jetlag.

– Excitement:  This is finally happening!

– Relief: No more long distance. We made it.

– Frustration: The local authorities in Athens still haven’t approved my employment status with St. Catherine’s… which means I still don’t have a work visa.

– Amusement: So many fascinating characters at tonight’s American gathering near the Temple of Poseidon. The evening was complete with country music, hot dogs, and fireworks.

– Most importantly, love and laughter. 🙂
