Goodie In Greece

Back to School

on August 22, 2013

IMG_4205That would be my classroom — looking pretty good after only a day’s work! (Admittedly, this is mostly due to the previous teacher’s care of the room and the resources she left behind.) I met with the principal of St. Catherine’s this morning so she could show me my classroom and acquaint me with the school. I was also fortunate enough to have classroom prep assistance from Allyson (the other TFA alum/Embassy girlfriend living in Athens). I still don’t have a resolution to the work visa debacle, but at least my classroom is nearly ready for students… all 22 of them! Only one of the names on my class roster actually sounds British. The rest of the names are decidedly Greek. I’m not sure if the students are Greek-British… or just Greek. We shall see. Either way, perhaps I should have spent more time with Rosetta Stone. 🙂
