Marathon’s Half Marathon

on September 8, 2013

IMG_4382IMG_438590-degree weather isn’t exactly optimal running weather — and we didn’t properly train for it — but Rob and I succeeded in running, jogging, walking, and limping all 21 kilometers of Marathon’s first annual half marathon! (The full marathon will take place in November when it’s a bit cooler.) By the end of the race, Rob had bloody blisters covering his feet. And shortly after crossing the finish line, I laid down to prevent a blackout… and then puked. BUT WE DID IT!! We were even kindly rewarded with medals, olive branches, and what was left of the t-shirt selection. The rest of the day will be spent eating, sleeping, and doing absolutely nothing.

*By #1, we mean we finished. 🙂

Congratulations to both of you on the successful finish of your first half-marathon!

That sounds really tough! I’m proud of you two. Before the November Marathon, strongly suggest Rob revisit the Boy Scout motto!!
